The floor creaks - through the door you just entered, everywhere you look, overgrowth has taken hold - flower buds peek out from between floorboards, vines intertwine with the remnants of belongings long since abandoned. You walk through the room, until you feel something underfoot - an old journal, its insides a mess of sketches, notes, addendums and what looks to be pressed flowers. You thumb through the pages, and find a series of field notes on something called ‘Meadow Watchers”…..

What relevance do these creatures bear to the surrounding area? It could possibly come in handy to know what beasts lie ahead.

Figure 1 : Meadow Watcher: Sorrow Bloom - These blooms watch over the creatures who live near them, communicating via mycellium. If they lock eyes with you, these flowers often begin to cry - they feel humanoid’s sorrow the most - reason unknown.
